I was thinking about donating to The Gray Zone (https://thegrayzone.com/), an investigative reporting group, because as everyone knows you absolutely cannot trust anything that comes from mainstream media.
Looking at their site, you can donate via Patreon and also a site called Give Butter (https://givebutter.com/TheGrayzone). Both of them offer credit card or Paypal.
Are there simple options for nonprofits to accept bitcoin? What are the pros/cons for the nonprofit? For the donor?

BTCpayServer is pretty good and works with NWC now. It's pretty easy to run, but it's still new.
The other option is to get a lightning address from Zeus, GetAlby, Wallet of Satosi, etc.
Add the word lightning and : in front of it. Anyone with a lightning walket cac click it. Here's an example.
lightning:zapthisblog@getalby.com
Hey, I just posted about GGF #1358201 and its non-custodial Bitcoin solution. It's ideal for existing organizations that still have a foot in the fiat system.

They are probably best in the space, St Jude uses them and I've donated to St Jude via them in the past.
nice, thanks for the info
I was going to suggest setup an account with Coinos.io and you can accept donations via lightning, on chain, liquid, e-cash, etc
