every time people with an already weakened/challenged immune system show up to the hospital, they risk becoming a morbidity & mortality statistic; commercial hospitals are some of the most dangerous places in modern societies, since so much sickness flows thru there; today, spacesuits shud be the norm in those facilities... not only during high infection-risk surgeries;

That's for sure.

Overall, DK had a much better last few years of life than most people. But the last week in the hospital sounds like it was a nightmare. He was sedated and intubated. Why, at 95 years old?

I didn't ask his kids, but I wonder - did he not have clear end of life instructions, where he said that he did NOT want procedures like that? Or did the hospital just kind of take over, just to charge their insane bills? According to one of the kids, the doctor was "hopeful" that he'd be able to recover. Probably just an excuse to do lots of procedures.

knowing how to deal with "healthcare professionals" is really no different than dealing with cops, because clinics/hospitals often have security guard-dogs, who basically do not think either; 🐕🏅

what shud one call this skill? diplomacy? negotiations with fiat? ...
