Aaah, this i think about a decent bit. Not sure it's the same at all... We didn't accidentally stumble into something broken and rode the wave all the way to the bank, we proof-of-work worked hard and 

. We learned and made a choice, the consequences of which 

 carry — put differently, if bitcoin doesn't work out nobody is going to bail us out and reimburse the funds/time we wasted on it
