The Africa Bitcoin Conference 2026 (ABC26) event page is set to bring the global Bitcoin community to Blantyre, Malawi from December 2–5, 2026—a moment that could define the next chapter of Bitcoin adoption on the continent.

Will we see you at ABC26? A call to the Stacker News community

Stackers, I remember having posted this here: (#1454800), and it got me thinking—who among you is actually planning to attend?

Africa is not just “emerging” in Bitcoin—it’s actively building. From grassroots education to circular economies, the momentum here is real. And this year, Malawi is hosting one of the continent’s biggest Bitcoin gatherings.

Stacker News has always been more than just a forum—it’s a community of builders, thinkers, and doers. Having even a few of you make the trip to Malawi would mean more than just attendance. It would mean:

Bridging online and real-world Bitcoin communities

Sharing knowledge across continents

Strengthening the global, decentralized spirit that Bitcoin represents

Past Bitcoin gatherings in Africa have shown how impactful in-person connections can be—people don’t just attend, they collaborate, build, and carry ideas back into their communities.

So the question is simple:

Will you be at ABC26? Because, I would love to see you there.

If you’ve ever thought about visiting Africa, contributing to grassroots Bitcoin adoption, or just experiencing a different side of the Bitcoin movement—this is your moment.

Malawi is getting ready. The community is growing.

Events like this are where ideas turn into action. Would be cool to see some SN names actually show up and represent.
