Surveys worldwide show that most people find common animal farming practices unacceptable, even where meat consumption is high.
In a world that often feels deeply polarized, it is rare to find a topic where almost everyone agrees. The treatment of farm animals is one of them. Surveys show that a strong majority of people, regardless of their diet, oppose common practices in animal agriculture.
The chart below shows results from a survey of British adults on whether several common farming practices are acceptable. For every practice listed, less than 13% of respondents rated it “acceptable”. A small minority approved of procedures such as castrating newborn calves or trimming the tails of newborn piglets, but large majorities judged each practice as “not acceptable”.Meat consumption remains highMeat consumption remains high

From raising sheep and goats i learned that I don’t want to eat them but yet I do because of so many man made up justifications like ‘it’s cleaner meat’, etc.
But the honest truth is that it feels wrong.
It’s so easy to fall in love with the lambs from the moment they are born because they’re so cute but then their tails must be cut off (‘to prevent infections’) and castration usually follows. All this to get them ready to be eventually eaten.
I enjoy homesteading and keeping animals it is very rewarding and gratifying but i believe that animals would be grateful if we give them a different purpose than becoming meat for us. One good example could be raising goats for grazing and clearing up pastures or backyards.
there are several popular justifications for animal flesh consumption, aka carnism, a religion endorsing that it's OK to totally dominate another living being's body and eat it too; i may have omitted a few - the human mind is adept at creating & accepting all sorts of satanic mental traps;
the justification for cannibalism is only a short mind's leap away;

altho it can be very challening to give up eating animal flesh, the law of cause & effect or The Karmic Law doesn't care about man-made-up justifications; therefore, as we continue to do to other living beings w/flesh & blood, so shall be done to us; the Epstein files & forever wars are prime examples of this universal rule; we are currently in an annual season of sacrifice - expect plentiful human harvesting around the world;

great documentary about cruel treatment of animals everywhere:
Earthlings (2005)
That means they don’t actually care about farm animals in any meaningful sense.
Talk is cheap. Action is costly.
My thoughts exactly. We live in a shallow and emotions based society. We are extremely soft. People want to feel like they care. Reality is a completely different thing.

If most people already disagree with these practices, the real question is why change is so slow.
