Yes but that would not explain the LIT ranking behavior of the above post.
It was downzapped 5000 at least 24 hours before I boosted it approximately 3500 this morning (about 2 hours ago) but it is still not visible.
If downzaps have a 4 hour half life then that 5000 downzap at least 24 hours ago should now only weigh ~ 5000/2x2x2x2x2x2(64)=78.125
Nothing like that appears to have happened.
3500 boost 24 hours after the 5000 downzap has not removed the downzap downranking.
Why?
Can @koob please explain what is the true and correct process of downzap (and upzap) half lives?
Downzaps are ~3x as powerful for influencing ranking as an equivalent amount sats upzapped or boosted
I believe that was the case but was changed several months ago to equal weighting.
@koob can confirm this or may simply refuse to reply as he is doing repeatedly on this question.
Even if they are still 3x as powerful that would not account for the non showing of the post after more than 24 hours since the downzap and a subsequent boost of ~3500.
@koob I believe you previously explained that downzaps have a half-life of 4 hours whereby their weighting halves every 4 hours.
Is this still correct?
I ask because it does not seem to apply to this post-
