Bitcoin Growth & Partnerships — BitcoinProof

Part-time · Remote · Paid in Bitcoin

BitcoinProof is audit-ready Bitcoin self-custody verification. Verify what a wallet controlled at any historical date. Generate a professional PDF evidence report. Runs on your machine — self-hosted backend option for full privacy.

The use cases are real and growing: annual wealth-tax reporting in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Norway, and Spain. SMSF annual audit documentation in Australia — every self-managed super fund must value Bitcoin holdings at 30 June for independent audit, and auditors are now rejecting screenshots. Proof of funds for mortgage applications and bank onboarding. Estate administration. Legal disclosure. Corporate treasury documentation under FASB fair-value reporting standards. Regulatory compliance ahead of the EU AMLR (July 2027).

The product is built. The community doesn't know it exists yet. That's where you come in.

What you'll do

About half your time is community marketing — building BitcoinProof's presence where serious self-custody Bitcoiners actually are. Twitter/X, Nostr, Stacker News, podcasts. You write the content, you show up in the conversations, you help people understand why a blockchain explorer isn't enough when they need to prove what they controlled.

About a third is professional channel development — identifying and reaching Dutch accountants, German tax advisers, UK mortgage brokers, estate attorneys, and other professionals who regularly encounter self-custody Bitcoin holders who need documentation. Getting them to recommend the product to clients. This is methodical outreach, not cold-calling.

The rest is partnerships — recruiting referral partners, identifying complementary services (hardware wallet companies, custody consultants, Bitcoin-focused legal firms), building relationships that compound over time.

You're also often the first to hear what users and professionals actually need. You'll route that feedback into our product system and flag patterns you notice across conversations — the qualitative signal no feedback tool captures on its own.

You set the strategy. You execute it. You report on what's working.

What you won't do

Touch the codebase. Make product decisions. Handle customer support. This is a focused role: your job is to find the people who need this product and help them find it.

Compensation

Paid in Bitcoin, monthly. No cap.

Phase 1 — proving period

You earn 30% of total gross revenue per month until you've brought in 300 tracked attributed customers (via your link, UTM, or registered partner) — or 24 months, whichever comes first. This applies to all revenue — not just what you personally drive. If the business earns, you earn. If it doesn't, neither do you.

This phase exists because Year 1 commission on a new product in a small market doesn't reflect the real value of the work being done. 30% of revenue is the honest bridge.

Phase 2 — milestone commission

Once Phase 1 ends, you earn attributed commission at rates that reflect where we are together:

Cumulative customers you've brought inYour rate on each new customer (first 24 months)
0–60050% direct / 15% on partner-referred
601–2,50035% direct / 10% on partner-referred
2,501+20% direct / 7% on partner-referred
After each customer's 24-month window (all tiers)10% direct / 3.5% on partner-referred

The rate steps down because growth happened, not because time ran out. A customer acquired when you're at 200 cumulative earns you 50% for 24 months from their acquisition date. A customer acquired at 3,000 cumulative earns you 20% for 24 months from their acquisition date. After each customer's individual 24-month window, that customer earns you 10% ongoing — the clock runs per customer from their acquisition date, not from a single universal switch date. As long as you're still active (≥10 new attributed customers per rolling 6-month period), two consecutive periods below this threshold permanently ends the ongoing rate.

Partners you recruit into the referral program register with a date. Any customer who arrives through a partner you registered earns you the override rate on top of their 20% standard referral.

Pricing: €59/year per entity (Individual tier), €149/entity/year (Business tier). Multi-year prepay up to 5 years. Commission on full purchase value. Gross revenue basis throughout.

What you can realistically expect to earn

This is an honest projection. Both scenarios assume both parties fulfill their roles.

YearBase scenario (monthly)Conservative scenario (monthly)
1~€675~€270
2~€2,462~€1,445
3~€3,960~€2,106
4~€9,384~€4,272
5~€24,698~€9,879

Year 1 is the building phase. The channels you create in Year 1 pay out across Years 1–3. The referral network you build from Year 2 onward generates override income that compounds alongside your direct commission. Year 4 onward is where the structure becomes genuinely compelling — if you've done the work.

Note on Year 2: In the base scenario, Phase 1 typically ends around Month 15. Year 2 therefore blends Phase 1 floor income (first ~3 months at 30% of revenue) with Phase 2 commission (remaining ~9 months at tier rates). The exact timing depends on when the 300-customer trigger is reached.

The partner override compounds differently. If you recruit referral partners — satisfied users, accountants, Bitcoin advisers — and each brings in customers, you earn 7% on every customer they refer without doing that acquisition work yourself. Every satisfied customer you convert is a potential referral partner. The more you build directly, the larger the pool you can recruit into the program.

The override isn't the main income driver at first — but it grows passively while you're doing the direct work.

Commitment

This is a long-term role. If you're looking for a short project, this isn't it. If you want to build something alongside a product you believe in and earn on what you build for years, read on.

10–20 hours per week. Compatible with other professional work. More hours are welcome; 10–20 is the working expectation.

6-month mutual commitment to start: you give it a genuine run, the founder doesn't hire a second marketing person or run competing paid campaigns during that period.

Either party can exit with 30 days notice. Your commission windows on customers you originated survive exit for their full 24 months. The ongoing 10% rate stops on exit — it's a reward for an active relationship, not a permanent entitlement. It also requires continued activity: ≥10 new attributed customers per rolling 6-month period. Two consecutive periods below this threshold permanently ends the ongoing rate, even before exit.

Agreement by email confirmation. Formalise if it grows into something bigger.

Who we're looking for

You're a Bitcoiner — not for the CV line, but because you live in the communities where the product matters. You understand self-custody. You know what a descriptor is. You understand why someone doing their annual Dutch wealth-tax return or applying for a mortgage needs more than a blockchain explorer link.

You're comfortable getting up to speed on what accountants, mortgage brokers, and attorneys actually need — and then having those conversations. And you can write a Stacker News post.

You're commercially minded — you care about the commission because you care about the outcome.

Languages: English + Dutch + German strongly preferred — not required.

Understanding the language logic requires understanding how the role divides from the founder:

Founder owns all institutional/professional first contacts. Jansen de Lannoy, Droog, Post, Putman, Jongbloed (NL accountants), Shelley Banton (SMSF auditor), Andy Pattinson (TBA), EXPERTsuisse committee, Swiss firm authors, Espen Ommedal (Raeder & Bing) — all founder conversations, regardless of language. The founder is Dutch. The founder's language is not the hire's constraint.

Hire owns the self-custody community channel and professional channel follow-up. This is where language matters — not for the flagship contacts, but for:

  • Credible participation in local-language Bitcoin communities (Bitcoin.nl, EENENTWINTIG, r/geldzaken in Dutch; Swiss German Bitcoin meetups in German; Barebitcoin.no in Norwegian)
  • Attending events the founder won't attend (Treuhandsuisse chapter meetings, AEDAF Grupo de Jóvenes, regional NL accountant events)
  • Creating local-language practitioner content
  • Sustaining relationships the founder has opened

Each local community requires that language to participate credibly. A hire who cannot attend a Dutch Bitcoin meetup as a peer loses the NL community channel almost entirely.

Priority weighting:

  • Dutch — highest value. NL is the primary market; Dutch Bitcoin community (Bitcoin.nl, EENENTWINTIG, Satoshi Radio, Dutch meetups) is entirely Dutch-language.
  • German — second priority. Swiss German Bitcoin community + Treuhandsuisse/EXPERTsuisse practitioner events. Also covers German-language Swiss content.
  • English — table stakes for AU, international community (X/Nostr, Stephan Livera, Bitcoin Alive), and all written professional content.
  • French, Spanish, Norwegian — marginal plus, not a meaningful filter at this stage.

The non-requirement caveat: A deeply embedded English-speaking Bitcoiner with genuine community presence and strong channel instincts may outperform a trilingual candidate with weaker community connections. Do not filter out strong English-only or English+one-language candidates. Ask every candidate explicitly which languages they have and at what level, and what their actual community presence looks like in each.

Ideal profile: Dutch native + professional German + English fluent, with genuine presence in the Dutch and/or German-speaking Bitcoin self-custody community.

Location: Anywhere. Fully remote, fully global.

Start date: 1 August 2026.
