Western democracies have become more and more owned by corporate sponsors ever since the 1970s. The shadowy sponsors own both major parties in most western democracies...this structurally undermines the intent of democracy. Ironically Chinas system operating upon an effective Heavens Mandate whereby the CCP know they will be brutally removed if they fail to serve the majority of citizens has delivered superior results. Democracy has failed because we as citizens became apathetic and lazy. Libertarians seem to assume government is of limited value when in reality it is a huge factor in the wealth and security of nations.
