When running desktop Linux, it's typically Debian or Ubuntu for me.
And I think the only reason I thought to try Linux Mint was because it's based on Ubuntu LTS.
Bought an MacBook Pro 2015 for the partner. It's intel-based, and installing it was no issue.
Quite refreshing to not have to jump through any hoops to get it going.
Gives me Gnome vibes, which I always had a soft spot for.
Also, how nice is to install an OS without need to sign in to any crap.
I really like mint and it was my go to. But my old laptop got to where it couldn't handle it so I had to downsize things. I go with lubuntu now.
how old are we talking ?
10+ years
The MacBook Pro is from 2015, but it was top of the line back then.
