Honoured an agreement I had made with a colleague. Had brunch at Flaming Mangoes instead.
A stone’s throw from my school, it was an unobtrusive and quiet hole-in-the-wall restaurant nestled amidst landed properties. It was an energy spot in which I forgot that I was in noisy, congested Singapore and concentrated on hearing my colleague talk.
The food and drinks were a steal for the money too. Paid about $40 (for the two of us!) and felt that I had gotten much more value in return.
