They will just do what we did here in Ontario when they didn't like the test results. Change the way the test are graded to make the results look better.

reply

I mean... why have tests. There is no objective truth anyway. It's all up for grabs.

reply

I mean, why even go to college? Why does any of it even matter? These are the questions I ask.

I mean I know the answer. Th these professors need somebody paying their salary. And where else are we gonna fill these young people's heads with nonsense? I mean, to put it more bluntly, where are we going to indoctrinate the children into the world view of materialism? How else will we completely undo all the work their parents may have put into them? How else will we get rid of whatever little shred of religion they might have?

This is untenable and it's self destructing before our eyes.

reply

I sympathize, but I think telling someone not to go to college is still a pretty risky proposition. They'd better be pretty mature and have a good head about them if they want to go that route.

reply

I think it depends what they want to do. Getting a bachelor of Arts is probably quite useless for most people.

reply

Well I'm not advocating anything. I think young people should figure out what they want to do in life. If college is a part of that, they should do it. That said, many parents are throwing their children to the wolves. I think parents are starting to realize this on mass. I hope at least.

Had a pretty good hit on my shoulder d and called BS on professors that tried to tell me the Bible was this made up book by white Europeans. In the last few decades, these professors have become more and more stupid in my mind. You can not be religious, not believe in God, and I don't disrespect you. But that nonsense was truly exposing their ignorance.

reply

Return to standardized testing is being pushed by college faculty frustrated by the lack of preparation of incoming students, I don't think they'd be satisfied with dumbed down tests.

However, a realistic scenario is that the faculty who care about standards eventually all retire or leave.

reply

Yeah well here in Ontario the teacher's union is very powerful and a huge voting block. They just strike when they don't get what they want and everyone gets pissed off at them but begs the government to cave in and get them back to work so they have babysitters for their kids while they go work for melting fiat.

And 99% of people have Stockholm syndrome and think this is all a perfectly reasonable and normal way to live.

reply

That's what happens here too.

The education system is a total mess. I deal with the downstream fallout.

reply

But thats like just your opinion man!

reply

Me. I did. I saw it coming.
