Yes agree it is a great book but imo most westerners (lets say the 7% of the world population who do live under a Liberal Democratic government) have no idea what is coming to replace it.
China has won the trade war - its state capitalist economy now dominates the planet and it looks a lot like that dominance will gradually lead to dominance over the monetary and institutional con.structs which are what remains of the wests legacy hegemony.
The 'liberal democracies' were afterall only ever viable based on the wealth and privilege that western imperialism delivered over the last 500 years. That privilege looks likely to be ending, along with the liberal democracies and their sense of entitlement
