After a second consecutive quarter of negative real GDP growth Canada has technically entered a recession.
I say thank our lucky stars we have Supreme Leader Carney's expertise as a former Central Banker and International financier to guide us through this dark hour. Can you imagine how bad things could have been, due to the economic blight Orange Man thrust upon us, if we didn't have such a steady hand at the helm?
Wait, you guys don’t just change the definition of “recession” whenever a recession starts?
Why, when it can be blamed on Trump? Liberals and Carney are polling better than ever. They would win a massive majority if there was an election right now. "Trump is evil and everything wrong in our country is due to him. Now he has put us in recession. We hate Trump more than the other party so side with us." It's the easiest political strategy of all time. Now when we get one decent quarter they can say "despite what Trump has done, look at what we are doing to save you".
Unless they’re campaigning on an assassination agenda, I don’t see why anyone would think they can do dick about Trump.
Canadians are very gullible.
GDP includes government spending. So the question you'll want to ask yourself is: why didn't Carney cook the books? After all you have a master chef in book cooking.
@Undisciplined asked a similar question. They don't need to cook the books right now. That's an arrow they can keep in their quiver.

Public getting rekt over political gains is such a shitcoiner move.
PS: if this is true then he prolly still cooked them. Just cooked them to "the outcome needed most" (by "them").
But does it identify as a country in recession?
Certainly not.
Then it clearly must be hate speech to call it being in one. I am shocked you dare defame them in public.
Hahaha
Canada discovering that printing consultants and compliance jobs is not the same as creating wealth.
Central bankers always arrive like firefighters carrying gasoline and PowerPoint slides.
