Here's a new Bitcoin escrow company. I doubt that they will do it as well as BitEscrow but it's interesting to see people still working on onchain escrow.

What kind of multisignature wallet do you use? What kind of multisignature wallet do you use?

For each deal, Tetrapolar creates a multisig wallet with two branches: (1) a 2-of-2 cooperative branch controlled strictly by the buyer and the seller; (2) a 2-of-3 backup branch in which Tetrapolar's key is added for the purpose of signing in disputed cases or for fund recovery — this branch is activated after a timelock specified at deal creation. All of this happens automatically; you just need to fill out a short form.

They don't offer any sort of dispute resolution (which I think is perhaps a good sign? It means they don't advertise that they have a backdoor or extra key), yet I think this is also a difficulty. Dispute resolution is probably where the thorniest issues arise.

Cool stuff! Bookmarked for our next TM7's ~AGORA Marketplace update

The multisig tree setup is innovative, perhaps superfluous, as the escrew interveen only if the other branch do not resolve the trade. I don't see much difference with a simpler 2-o-3. It also relate to the escrow service we offer #1248555
