Excellent marketing. The coffee shop owner is creative and has an I for the kind of products that will cause customers to post about them online.
When people who aren't currently customers of the coffee shop see the cute little cloud of sugar raining into the coffee they do the shop's advertising with enthusiasm.
Also it is cool.
