Abstract: A Bitcoin node monitoring tool and website bitnod.es is launched. The website has a database of c28,000 Bitcoin nodes and various tables and charts to monitor the available metrics. There also exists a node explorer, to view details about individual nodes.

A few days ago, in May 2026, after 13 years of operation, the website went down and the domain expired.
