People take for granted the ease with which informarion can be reproduced in our era of ubiquitous compute. It is perhaps the single greatest hallmark of our times that at a stroke of a key, entire libraries can be copied and broadcasted across the globe. In another time, monks laboured tirelessly to transcribe texts over the course of their life, time measured in the candlewax that accumulated in their study.
