I was fighting against sleep last night which it was not a good sign of what I was watching between Morocco and Brazil. A 1-1 draw in the end, which is a good start for both but I am sure that there is plenty of room for improvement.
Scotland did not miss the opportunity to beat Haiti and become the unexpected leader in Group C.
Qatar scored a late equalizer to draw against Switzerland. The Europeans missed a lot of opportunities in the first half and when this happen you may end up losing (or getting a draw). This result leaves Canada group with a quadruple tie. It's going to be interesting.
Finally Australia beat Türkiye 2-0 and ties with USA at the top of Group B. I was expecting more from the Turkish team but the Aussie goalkeeper, Patrick Beach, did an incredible performance allowing his team a clean sheet.
Today, Germany will face debutant Curaçao. Germans are always at the top of contender lists. I think that the issue today is how many goals they will score rather than if they win, draw or lose.
Then, an interesting Netherlands vs Japan match will follow. I hope it will be in the "Beautiful game" side of @gsc360 contest.

I'm trying to give credit to Morocco, they're a really good team and a draw was always possible. So the final result doesn't bother
Buuuuut Brasil overall performance was horrible, the lack of coercion on the build up was astonishing, our "best center back dua in the world" looked as a minor league rookies.
Casemiro coming from he's best season in years, was a non factor, Bruno and Paquetá couldn't combine for more than 3 passes, Raphinha disappointed again and Igor Thiago as a starter is an atrocity.
Thankfully our Flamengo born hero was there, Vini has played in 5 World Cup games 4(G/A)
And now Haiti i think Carletto has the opportunity of changing things get a good win and carry on.

Indeed Morocco is a good team, and having them as the first match in a World Cup is tough.
Also, I think that we are at the beginning of the tournament and best performances should peak a bit later, perhaps last 16 onwards...
