I guess this will be marketed as 'Iran never having a nuclear bomb.'

The MOU is an extension of the ceasefire to return shipping Hormuz to the status quo so negotiations can continue.

Why it matters: The agreement could reopen the Strait of Hormuz, ease pressure on global energy markets, and create a window for negotiations over Iran's nuclear program.

Our fearless leader has fully authorized it. Because when it was open before this war it wasn't authorized.

That was done to plant the flag for what was agreed to. Notice how Iran can out later and said that it was Iran and Oman who were in charge. Iran is already starting to try and write a different narrative to make themselves look better. Trump has been clear that Iran/Oman controlling the Strait wasn’t going to fly and threatened to bomb Oman so it’s just an optic tactic

US imperialism is in terminal decline.

China won the trade war and now the petrodollar is dying.

I can't wait to see what other authorized provisions that weren't there before are coming. Probably lots!

reply

Literally everyone involved knew they never had a nuke. Given what Israel is continuing to do in Lebanon, I'm not overly sanguine about this deal, but it would be great to not have anymore people die pointlessly.

reply

Yet it is parroted as the main reason for the US being involved, to stop them from ever having one.

Given what Israel is continuing to do in Lebanon...

Hard to say how it shakes out. Trump is disavowing Isreal in public more and more and I don't pretend to know who hodls the cards.

agree

Xi Jinping, the most powerful man in the world, holds the cards

What cards does China hold?

remember, go is not cards

reply

Rare earths at least.

Israel have not agreed to comply.
Who is actually in charge of the USA?
Trump or the Zionist banksters?

'Ex-Trump aide says US should cut support for Israel to ensure deal holds

Joe Kent, a former head of the US National Counterterrorism Center, who resigned from the Trump administration amid disagreements over the war on Iran, has welcomed the ceasefire deal with Iran.

“We can strengthen our chances of this deal holding by cutting all military/intel assistance to Israel, they took every opportunity to tank this deal & will likely do so again unless we take action,” Kent said on X.

“We should also quietly get our troops out of the bases in the Gulf that can be reached by Iran. This ensures Iranian hardliners can’t strike us to drag us back into the fight. Take away every factor that we can control that could force us back into the war on Israel or Iran’s terms. Set all conditions that we can control in our favour.”'
