I am launching a new podcast which is focussed on AI, from a Christian perspective. We will be discussing tools, roadmaps, use cases, cultural questions, philosophical questions, political questions, technical matters and other such things relating to AI.
The aim of the show is to be clear-eyed about the dangers, but hopeful about the future. The goal is that Christians should be represented at the cutting edge of AI. The goal is that the show would put out a signal to like-minded Christians so that we can form a community around a shared interest in AI and it's use in a biblically sound way.
Another goal of the show is ultimately to track developments in local AI. We would like to get to a point where current SOTA models can run on local hardware, such as a Mac Studio. We are not there yet, but there is hope that we will get there.
We may also discuss AI adjacent topics, such as Bitcoin, and general Internet culture. Specifically from the viewpoints of the "Christian Struggle" with these in the digital world. ("Agon" is the word Paul used to mean "Christian struggle" in his epistles).
Very cool concept! If you are looking into running local LLMs on a Mac Studio, definitely check out tools like LM Studio or Ollama if you haven't already. They make optimization seamless for Apple Silicon.
Thank you. I am running Ollama on my Mac. It is nice but nowhere near, for example, Kimi 2.6 used through the Maple cloud service, never mind OpenAI or Claude. I do have hope for the future, though, and will cover my research and thoughts on a show in the near future.
