What is the strongest argument against incentivizing public full nodes?

I think they too easily become honey pots.
If there is a popular wallet that defaults to a public node for chain data, you could see a lot of people using it out of convenience. And in that case, there might be a strong incentive for the node's operator to sell the data they collect.
