If anyone had doubts about Messi's performance this World Cup, then must be reassured. A hat trick in the first match and some other opportunities. Someone in Spain's camp should sit Yamine down in front of a TV to let him know how to play in a World Cup.

Then what to say about France. Definitely a serious contender, not only because Mbappé but Olisé, Dembele, Barcola,..... scary!

Norway, with Haaland scoring twice, survived after Iraq equalized his first goal. They managed to win 4-1.

Finally, Austria beat debutant Jordan 3-1. Due to the time difference, I managed to watch the second half here in Europe around 7 AM.

Today, Portugal's CR7 will play against Congo. An opportunity for him to show whether he is at the same level than Messi and Mbappe.

Also tonight, I think that is the match of the day, England will play against Croatia. Hope it is a good entertaining match.

There are two more matches that will include Ghana vs Panama, in England's group, and Uzbekistan vs Colombia, in Portugal's group.

Enjoy the Beautiful Game!

Portugal and Congo draw. Let's go to England vs Croatia!

Messi is the perfect example os a S tier player, every club should have him as the footprint for the development of prayers.

Without need never a second touch in the ball, no "flair", only effective moves and the finishing, OH GOOD LORD it's constructive poetry in motion.

Can you imagine the pressure CR7 is putting on himself today?

Beautiful Game manslaughter yesterday, truly one of the most amazing days of futbol in my life.

Yes, but i question myself if it's good for my dark horse candidate Portugal to win it all

reply

Just a draw for Portugal in the first match. I still it's a good result for an opening match, though not many shots.

Really disappointing, i honestly think CR7 should come of the bench, the creativity without movement becomes boring as fck

reply
CR7 should come of the bench

Fully agree. I think that Portugal may play different and have more chances. He may come out of the bench in the last 20-25 minutes and being more decisive.

Exactly helping win games giving it all for <30'

That's the spot that can lead to glory, not helping on pressing and being late for every pass ain't helping

reply

There was sometimes that he even didn't run and let others run for the pass. Even my daughter, that was watching the match, noticed that he didn't run.

More like 3-0

reply

Hahaha , true. CR7 has not played well, had a couple of shots at the end but not even close to score.

reply

Messi’s hat-trick must’ve gotten under Ronaldo’s skin. He was probably thinking, “I’ve gotta score 4!” ~lol. Ronaldo, don’t be selfish, pass the ball! ahaha

reply

Hahaha , true!

No chance, CR7 will end the game today with 0 completed passes, mark my words

reply
0 completed passes

What does this mean? He’s not gonna play?

He won't pass the ball, he'll try to finalize all his opportunities and catch Messi tally

reply

I don’t think so. A few years back it might’ve been possible, but now? He’s 41, fuck’s sake!

All his career was reaching Messi accomplishments, that's his drive, the only human to get close to the Alien, i can assure you he won't stop now

reply
All his career was reaching Messi accomplishments

That’s a bit of an exaggeration, maybe it’s true when it comes to national team games.

Other than that, he’s a lot more mature now and plays more for the team. And if he wants to try and win the only title he’s missing, he’s gotta go for it. I think he’s already settled on that mindset, at least I hope so! ahahah

Exaggeration? I don't think so, if he had the group in mind the bench would be his starting role, the former coach took a boot to it's butt for not having CR7 as a starter, he's the most driven star in the world, and the drive reaching Messi accolades

If anyone had doubts about Messi's performance this World Cup

Let's remember that they've played against Algeria. It's a lesser team; we haven't seen a real challenge for the Argentine national team yet.

“And with the whole team playing to get the ball to you before the goal, I don't think it's very difficult to score goals.”

He also got away with only a warning for a foul that others have seen a red card for.

Not hating on Messi at all. But it would've looked very differently had he been sent off after ~30 minutes.

reply

Yes, I understand that the fault should have been considered a red card.

Also , I understand is Algeria, but he is coming from a minor league and able to perform and score 3 goals.

This has just started but for me it's a good sign. We need to wait until the knock out stage but this is a warning.
