This is absolutely amazing, and I cannot help but laugh at the whole situation. First, they drank their plane over to the US dry, and even now, they continue to drink everything away!
Boston Beer Co. said in a news release that from Thursday to Sunday, the Tartan Army -- Scotland's supporters organization -- drank four times what the company normally stocks during a typical four-day holiday stretch like the Fourth of July, adding that it had to schedule an emergency delivery of beer Saturday morning and are adding extra deliveries this week to make sure it has enough.
"We've never seen anything like it," Billy DeCain of the Sam Adams Boston Taproom told NBC Boston.
"The White Bull Tavern, there was no beer," Scottish fan Dave Orr told NBC. "The Scottish fans just drank the place dry and all they had was Bud Light."
RIP to Bud Light though.... The Scots wouldn't touch that!
It's not like Boston is light drinking town either.
You definitely have to be drunk to watch Haiti and Scotland play soccer.
Ha, there is the issue that American beer is generally much lighter. So of course they would drink far more to get the same effect.
Scots be treating light beer like edibles.
"You feel anything mate?"
- Nothing. Let's have another.
I have heard that before but since I am not a beer drinker at all I have no idea lol!
When I was in college, we were treated to a visiting Australian team who did a few rounds with us on the rugby pitch. Those guys drank like fish and put us all under while still generally being sober for all intents and purposes. Can't say it was healthier for their liver, but their constitutions to American beer were quite solid and undented after numerous kegger rounds that night.
North Europeans are the GOAT of alcohol, nothing comes close
Wow
