This holiday, my knowledge of animals has increased exponentially / by leaps and bounds. Thanks to the luxurious expanse of unscheduled time, I got to read various books about animals. Now I know that the Chinese giant salamander is the largest amphibian in the world. I also learnt that the milkweed plants that monarch butterflies make these insects taste bad. Not to mention the saola, a rare animal exclusive to Laos and Vietnam which has only been sighted 4 times since 1992!
