If an app like this had a lot of users, I could see it really catching on (I realize that is a bit circular).

I like the concept of a very simple, no id, no phone number, no email payments and messaging app. Almost that could replace the SMS function on many phones, but with money/payments built in and very frictionless to access.

Seems like most of the messaging apps now days require a phone number (eg Signal, WhatsApp) and payment apps are much worse -- full kyc in most cases. A lightweight app that stores lots of stuff locally could be very cool.

Note that it is just a prototype and probably not something you should treat as a finished or safe app:Note that it is just a prototype and probably not something you should treat as a finished or safe app:

The app seems pretty cool! Do you all plan on continuing development?

reply

Sure, last six months I've spend literally all of my "free time" on Linky and there are still so many ideas for improvement. More and more people are testing it and building their own bitcoin network. 🔥

This is exciting. I'll give it a test run!
