zero days at sea?
which voyage do you recommend?
You're saying you want zero days at sea?
There are some Norwegian Caribbean Cruises like that, I think. We did an Eastern Caribbean cruise that was great and had us on land pretty much every day.
We also did a Hawaiian cruise that would have had zero days at sea, except that it was embarking from San Francisco because it had just gotten some maintenance. Normally, you'd just fly to Hawaii and get on there.
Yes, I prefer zero days at sea
What is your preference?
NCL has zero day at sea voyages
I have been to one cruise, first one on May 3
Do you have a brand preference?
We always did NCL but that was before we had a kid. I don't know if we would make a different choice now.
NCL has lots of activities for kids including arcade, I was tempted to play in the arcade but decided against it lol
I met 2 passengers who were Diamond or Sapphire members, they were very happy with NCL
They do, and it's probably plenty for us, but they are lower on kids' stuff than many other cruise lines.
I didn't see many kids on the Norwegian Dawn
Have you taken a cruise to Alaska? Sounds like Princess or Holland America are best for Alaska
Not yet. Someday we will because we have a bunch of friends in Alaska that we haven’t seen in a long time.
When my daughter was young we did a few cruises with my mom and my sister's family. I must say, I did an Alaska cruise that was absolutely fantastic. I would do that one again in a minute.
Never been on a cruise, but my in-laws / friends do them. Everyone I know says Alaska cruise is where its at....evidently there is one that finishes with a 3 day train trip thru the Denali national park...I can imagine thats an incredible experience.
We were fortunate that Denali (Mount McKinley) was visible through most of our visit. The train ride we took was from Talkeetna to Whittier. Incredible.
That is lucky. You can go years without seeing Denali, even if you live there.
or never
True, depending on where you live. It is visible from Anchorage on really clear days, though, so most Alaskans will see it at some point.
We also took a plane ride around it. Small propeller plane with a crazy Alaskan bush pilot. Both beautiful and terrifying. I took notes on each day of the trip and I'm glad I saved them. It brings back lots of memories.
Which month? Do you remember? My guess is July
sounds like princess or Holland America
Found it and Bookmarked!
I went on my first cruise the first week of May
I was skeptical but I can understand why cruises are addictive, it's summer camp for adults
NCL?
Awesome! I guess my wife and I are old at heart, because cruising is our favorite form of vacation.
