I was playing around posting on SN today and realised there's maybe a bug... maybe just something hasn't been considered, but also an opportunity for stackers to edit the post's territory after a post has been published (within the 10min edit).
I've noticed it's possible to change the territory only if the new territory fee-to-post is less than the cost that has already been paid to publish.
For example I posted #667702 on ~bitcoin (100sats) and changed to ~devs (50sats) for no cost
When trying to edit the territory again, I wanted to move it to ~Education (100sats), that ideally has the sames fees required to post in ~bitcoin. I was unable to change it, nor to switch back to ~bitcoin.
I think it will make sense to allow stackers to edit the territory within the 10min allowance. In case the cost is higher to have them pay the difference, asking or notifying it on screen for the stacker to know of the new fee.
I don't think the message cannot change to a more expensive sub it's appropriate
I also noticed that in many territories there are many posts that aren't related with the main topic, and this maybe an issue. From my understanding, territory owners have no other option to exclude certain post with the outlaw option. It will be nice to give territory owners the ability to move posts in other territories, so they can keep their territories tidy and clean.
Just an idea!
We agree. This was done in haste to prevent people from posting in a 1 sat territory then moving it to an expensive one.
make sense! it does not exclude stackers should have the option to pay the difference when moving a post to a more expensive territory.
Yep
Cool! I assume is something already in the backlog... I did not check!
