Nothing like starting a Monday work day with a 7am report on system failures landing in your inbox. The same staff who so proudly sent me this bag of burning literary shit didn't bother to tell me about the failures over the last 8 weeks. Nice. I promise I'll read it with an open mind. After my coffee... FFS.
I think it goes in waves. Writing was the first to get hit by AI in Fall 2023, and most clients or paying parties shifted to AI immediately because it was cheaper or free. They dumped all their skilled writers and relied on a computer to be just as smart. They learned the hard way what was produced as shite, but that realization didn't sink in until a year later or longer. All the good writers are gone, either quit or went off to something else for income, so now these same clients are stuck with AI or rookie new writers. And the demand begins again for skill that knows what it's doing. AI won't go away; it's too easy to use. But the skill and quality of professional work is stil beyond AI currently, at least in writing with accuracy, style and checked research.
The part that they probably didn't want to mention was that their internal security systems were not up to par and got overwhelmed, even though they had plenty of time to know the AI threat has been out there. But when you cut your cyber security defenses because you think politically government has gotten too big, bad things happen. duh.
Yard work day and some metal detecting afterwards. Might as well, will be all dirty and sweaty from weeding anyways...
Interesting. Generally there isn't any copyright police per se; people have to enforce their own rights to protect their content. Copyright only gives people the ability to sue for damages; it doesn't guarantee any government proactive enforcement.
OMG! that was so much fun. Totally a buzzfreak down memory lane! Hehehe I remember how that game and doom would make your eyes go buggy playing it too long.
Historically it was to prevent or cut down on the probable birth mutations that would occur from people marrying and, presumably, having kids with a genetic gene pool that was far too limited, ergo the mutations. Ugly stuff in some cases.
I won't argue that. Plenty of content mills spewing garbage for traffic maintenance without value.
