could you employ a martingale betting strategy to improve the odds
No. This strategy can never work, because your capacity to increase the bets is limited. Casino always win.
You do realize you are calling names everyone who does not agree with you? Instead of arguments to the point.
It is imperative that enough members of a given society make the effort to keep government honest
You mean voters? Forgot to mention, as a non-citizen I am not allowed to vote. And I did not give pledge of allegiance. But I am required to pay VAT on every purchase, taxes on fuel, water and power, income tax, CGT etc etc. That's literally taxation without representation. And a common law "agreement" between me and the government, signed only by the government, and being constantly amended by them. I also pay for the armed men that will put me in jail if I stop complying, and for the AI surveillance bureaucracy that is being rolled out right now. No wonder I want to escape such a system.
Will I survive on my own? Yes, of course. In most countries they don't kill tourists.
Oh, I bet my life I paid 10x your amount of taxes, in 4 different countries, over my career. Yet in none of them I will apply for social security or state pension. I paid for my education with a private loan. So the parasites are all those governments, and probably you, based on your socialist rhetoric.
Wrong assumption, again. I left Russia in 1999, before Putin grabbed power. And not for politics, but to study, and it was a great life choice.
Hahaha, I'd like to see you fight Putin, or Xi, or Erdogan, or MBS )) But you can start with Trump's dynasty first...
You assume wrong. I am not a EU citizen, and I have my own private pension and a private health insurance. I seek to leave the EU and become a tax resident nowhere. If I had a sense of duty to my motherland I would be now serving in Putin's army. Every state is a gangster that robs people while calling it the price of protection. Plus divides them into "they" and "us" to justify wars. I hate all that, so I am loyal to none.
I don't say everyone should be like me, but in the EU country where I live as an expat the laws prevent me from qualifying for state pension and health insurance. So, naturally, I pay the bare minimum taxes that I can get away with.
I just wait for "I am not a robot" captchas to disappear. They are so annoying and must be trivial for agents to bypass.
Why would you expect it to be easy? Empires don't die without fighting. I don't give a damn about majority. As I said, IQ test. Those who want will figure out the way. Those who are scared will remain slaves.
Bitcoin is not a "client" (the "C" in the "KYC"), what the fuck you are talking about? CEXes trading volume is in paper bitcoin, it only becomes real when withdrawn to your own non-custodial wallet. And no, those withdrawn coins do not carry your KYC attached to them, this is ridiculous. Anyone can peg any "tainted" UTXOs into Liquid BTC completely free and anonymously, to then swap them back to other BTC UTXOs at Boltz or with us.
Yes, when you sell 1 BTC at a CEX they ask to see "source of funds". But you can buy 1 BTC legally with a statement, then sell 1 BTC at 10 different exchanges, 1 per each, showing the same one statement. And if you move your tax residency to Dubai or Tbilisi, you can sell your stash 100% tax free. It is harder to do if your only passport is USA, but still there are ways.
the vast majority of Bitcoin is now KYCed and taxed.
No. The vast majority of PEOPLE is now KYCed and taxed.
All Bitcoin transactions are happening on its blockchain. They do not require KYC, or permission, or paying a tax. Using non-custodial wallets, Lightning and Liquid networks help fool the Travel Rule. On and off ramps via CEXes are not obligatory. Sure, AML/KYC rules make it hard to buy something expensive with your bitcoin, but not impossible. Most people have low IQ...
I no longer use Umbrel, but this discussion seems to address your problem: https://github.com/getumbrel/umbrel-lightning/issues/20#issuecomment-1566556262
All they want is to tax our every move. And for that they need to watch closely: who deals stuff p2p for cash (including crypto), who claims non-resident status while in fact "qualifies", who hides assets abroad etc. It gets funnier for expats like myself when several legal systems overlap and conflict with each other. The only real solution is to hide from them all.
There will awlays be fools looking for a custodial yield, so the pipeline of such products will never dry up.
Can it import the already downloaded blockchain from bitcoind?
