Iran's internet blackout is now past hour 1776, entering its 75th day. The digital censorship measure has led to profiteering and a decline in digital security as government-backed "pro" internet schemes and selective whitelisting result in surveillance, corruption and scams.

Crazy that they shut down (jammed) Starlink a few weeks before that. How are there not riots?

Revolutionary Guard must be doing a hell of a job!

reply

if only they'd put that kind of effort and energy into, i dunno, making the lives of their citizens better

reply

It’s bare rare for the guards to actually improve anyone's life.

When your sovereignty has been under attack from the US/CIA since 1953 you do tend to get a certain degree of pressure upon the civil liberties that westerners might consider normal.
US imperialism is a global plague undermining free trade, democracy and capitalism.
Iran is fighting back and the majority of Iranians are prepared to fight for the right to self determination and freedom rather than be slaves to US hegemony and Zionist war criminals.

Helluva job Brownie. Information kinda has a tendency of becoming free though

Most Iranians understand that US-Zionist war crimes are enabled by infiltration of the internet by Mossad.
Most Iranians understand the importance of continuing to resist US-Zionist attacks upon their sovereignty and right to self determination.

reply

Most people are sheep, too. How exactly does Mossad prevent you as an self-sufficient individual using a global communications platform to your advantage? I know it helps them, but how does that hurt you? Why do you believe someone gaining is necessarily your loss, aka zero sum?

reply

Mossad used the internet to access security cameras in Tehran and other locations enabling them to assassinate numerous Iranian politicians and leaders.
As someone who prizes my ability to determine my own destiny, and believing in my right and that of others to determine their own destiny, I oppose any entity that seeks to use force to impose its will upon others.
I do not know the extent to which Mossad may seek to obstruct my freedom of speech and access to information via the internet- perhaps it would depend upon how much of a threat they might see me as presenting?

reply

I'm not 100% sure, but the Iranian cyber army is legit.

reply

The surveillance is not a side effect of the blackout. It is the product.

US media censors any mention of The Greater Israel Project.

Even Stacker News seems to condone downapping suppression of the truth.

In other news US universities are selling dead Americans bodies to the Israeli military for use training Israeli military personal - the body donors and their families were not informed of the use to which their bodies would be put...they believed it was for medical research.
