I have found SNs rather hostile to dislogue on different viewpoints for example my themes of highlighting Chinas relative economic success via its mixed economy, and attempts to raise the issue of The Greater Israel Project and finally the hypocrisy of many stackers who preach Bitcoin but don't actually use it here on SNs because its too inconvenient!

Raising these topics has not generally achieved a reasonable dialogue but instead a combination of passive aggressive downzapping and more generally persistent trolling and evasion of the actual issues raised.

That said I do agree with the OP that SNs is better than the other options now available.
At least on SNs there appears to be no overt censorship...which on reddit for example seems to be chronic.
