It's great to write here. In the future I'll be able to get back and reread where I was wrong where I was right and what meant nothing at all

Assuming Stacker News is still online in the future.

Do you think the platform is economically viable in its current form?

reply

I don't know its expenses

People should come here not to earn but ready to pay if they wanna be heard

reply

I think there is a place for both paying consumers of content and providers earning sats for good content but currently there are not enough consumers or decent content providers.
It may be a matter of reaching a critical mass where there is enough of both.
Currently Stacker News does not appear to have reached a sustainable critical mass- and as you say is more sustained by those wanting to be heard- but is that sustainable?
It certainly is a unique and interesting experiment in P2P V4V social media and has achieved a lot.

I remember the time people never heard about reddit, when I told them: I use twitter, - they thought I'm living in my own imaginary universe

The same may happen to stackerNews too. Today we're a unknown niche, tomorrow your neighbors discuss here how Bitcoin saved their relationship

Let's enjoy the moment

Yes it is possible.
It will be interesting to see if SNs does ever reach critical mass.
Though hope it never becomes what reddit became!
