I have a friend who’s a graphic designer and video editor, and another friend who teaches English.

At a meeting we had recently, they offered to find clients for their work, and I’d get a commission for any jobs secured.

This really caught my attention.

I think it could be an opportunity to earn some extra cash for my expenses or savings.

So... my aim with this post is to gather information about places that might help me offer these services, in the hope of attracting some customers.

I’d like to thank you in advance for any information you can provide. Thank you.

There are a number of platforms you can use. There are a couple ways you can structure this. You can get the contracts yourself and then subcontract them to him. In this way you know what he charges you and you set your prices to the client accordingly. Or you can just essentially send him leads for new business and take a small commission on whatever he converts.

Thank you for your comment.

What are those options called?

It would be very helpful to look into them directly.

Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer.com

There used to be a couple of them that paid Bitcoin but I don't think they are active anymore and there weren't many opportunities on them.

having had the great misfortune of working on all of them, I'd highly recommend against.
Low pay, lots of search friction, plenty of scam and scam-adjacent tasks. (One guy on Upwork "desperately" wants me to visit a Tesla retailer and do mystery shopping... for $300, minus fees. Believe it when I see it, etc.)

More trouble than it's worth.

Thank you for your honest opinion

Remote work is in a major contraction right now. Corporations and governments are using in-office requirements to get people to resign so they don’t have to pay severance for large layoffs.

there was some Bitcoiner task work platform a year or two ago, don't recall what came of it.

Death by lack of network size, I think

This might be useful; I came across it recently in a post by Nostr:

Honestly, networking on X/Twitter and LinkedIn can sometimes work better than freelance sites. A lot of clients hire people they keep seeing consistently online.
