I included "on-ball guard" specifically to exclude Steph, who is the greatest off-ball guard in league history.
The reason that matters is how much physical punishment these guys take trying to create all the offense. Isiah Thomas is the last one who could handle it.

Allen Iverson as well took a ton of punishment being an on ball guard. This is a great analysis.
Also explains why Brunson struggled to shoot above 50%. The Spurs were putting max pressure on him
