Still no sub 4 full marathon yet, but I'm getting slightly closer. Beat my previous PR by 2 minutes. Considering that I was undertrained and overworked, it's not that bad of a result. I'm pretty happy with it, as I was just hoping to finish the damn thing.
Here are the stats:
And here is my post run treat. Krispy Kream original glazed with my favorite local craft beer.
I'm contemplating whether or not to join next year's full marathon. This one was my 7th total, and 5th one in a row. Seems like a good place to stop, and quit torturing myself like this each year. But at the same time, making it to 10th in a row seems like a cool thing to do. I guess I'll see how I feel when I receive the early bird sign up email. Meanwhile, I'm watching and cheering for the Raptors to take game 7, and looking forward to my Kavalan whiskey drink tonight. Go Raptors go!
Oh. hoooorrible. Great job
Thanks!
Iron man
I did a 10 mile race and my legs died at about mile 6.
I skipped last years but I am wondering if I should try it again
More like "getting too old for this shit" man.
Hahahaha!!! How long does it take your body to recover?
Usually a few days. But I have a full day of work tomorrow, and I work in construction, so that will be fun. I'll also try to get a slow 6-8km run done on Tuesday evening as a part of active recovery.
That's still a great pace. I've barely ever broken that pace over 5km.
Thanks!
