Just another day at the office making sure plebs can't wriggle through state fingers. Economic incentives being what they are the wriggling will just change.
My theory is TLAs prefer the digital paper trail. Helps them close the loop on things. SMS being vulnerable is fine, more of an inconvenience to the herd. I suspect this is why a lot of unnecessary info gets emailed to us as well. Little things you know like transfer amounts and itemized receipts.
From what I see, everyone in school is using AI as much as possible and claiming they don't. Teachers too. Ultimately it's about producing the best work so learning when and exactly how to use it is where the profit lies. Ethics under fire for real. Just make sure to scrub out the AI smell.
Surprising how quickly a lawsuit window can close.
I enjoy organizing and would like their environment to be organized, but at a certain point they either got it or they didn't. Not saying I've given up but I just try to help out when I can.
Been a while since I followed that country but somehow I think Kenya's ahead of the curve, with digital money (M-Pesa) available throughout Bitcoin's existence not to mention a steadily depreciating shilling.
You're right and it's a great muse for a Sunday. We've so many choices to make. Money's necessary but not sufficient. Best thing is to recognize the patterns you learned in childhood and try to fix the ones that don't seem to be serving you. It's hard when so much time is required to survive but even if money's not such an issue, it's hard to develop awareness of the learned patterns. This is what's so great about time outdoors, away from tech, or in meditation. That you're writing this probably means you're fine. I fear the ones who need to read this most, won't see it.
Peak solar isn't the inflection point. It's when that graph goes negative. Anyway, it'll all work itself out. Doesn't take many blackouts before people sour on solar just like they did nuclear. Meanwhile the black stuff oozes faster than ever. OS out!
A little, main thing is I can look back at a day and say I got something accomplished. Besides that I gotta limit scope because I'm interested in almost everything.
After a day like you described I'd say well done. With all of this I'm most impressed by your steady stacker posting! You're an anchor here for sure.
When I first heard of Deep Work I put time on my calendar and then at that time thankfully the admins respected that. Didn't mean that I enjoyed the flow state that's supposed come that way. Just helped box out dumb meetings.
It's still elusive now that I don't have a calendar or admins buzzing around. Main thing is to put myself in places where work is the default activity. Then try to work on one thing at a time for an hour or more.
Turning away customers who maintain a modicum of freedom feels like fiat behavior. I can't say how but, Bitcoin fixes this.
Materialism is more about things than money. Having lots of money though would be great because you could definitely eat AND pay the rent.
A reasonable choice. No kids, no cost. But as far as analysis you're leaving out benefit. Put your way that'd be, "I'm not having kids so I can't show them how much they benefitted me."
It's like that quip: I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you!
Writing is an important way and process of sharpening your thinking. So for the author they're skipping the whole step of becoming an expert on subject matter.
For the audience the question depends on the point of reading. I recently heard a very fine speech given at a conference that had a heavy AI feel, but appreciated it being better than so many shitty possibilities. It was like yeah nice rhetoric and way to keep it compact! We all know such a speech is a formality so why not get a good quality product out to the people. I would feel the opposite if I wanted a unique personal take from like a celebrity.
This all really plays with expectations and perception of value. I think the trademarks of AI will fade but our perception of what a given author had to do with their output will continue to grow as a question.
Being in this market is not holding Bitcoin so obviously.
